Children’s Week

Sparkling eyes and happy smiles reflected the joy of the students of the Rubens de Moraes Educational Institute (RUMO) during Children’s week. Some of the countless entertaining and cultural activities were: pogo ball, trampoline and ball pit which added fun to the kids enjoyment. A visit to the Americana Zoo and interaction with students from Gira-Girafa School-who brought toys to RUMO students, was also part of the fun. To close the week activities, there was a delicious barbecue (churrasco style) along with entertaining activities, leaving behind a longing for more.

The document contains data regarding the social and educational activities performed by the institution, as well as the number of children assisted, group classification and activities performed in the following areas: pedagogic, social, health, diet, social entertainment. The report also contains information regarding the number of people directly involved with the projects and activities during this year.

Don’t miss it! Transparency in its administration is part of the outstanding work executed by RUMO.

Rubens de Moraes Educational Institute (RUMO) presented this month the 2006 Report of Activities. The Annual Report of Activities is available on our website http://www.rubensmoraes.org.br

Italian Dinner

On November 9th, an Italian dinner party took place at the Societá Italiana (Italian Society), one more charitable event organized by RUMO.

The affair counted with the special participation of the Italian singer Maurice Lo Monaco, who entertained the guests with live Italian typical music among other songs by renowned Italian singers such as Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi and Luciano Pavarotti.

The guests had the chance to enjoy, besides the delicious dinner complemented with Italian wine and good music, a fashion show of D’Ville Summer Collection. All the proceeds collected will be directed in favor of the institute that currently assists 85 disadvantaged children in the Bosque de Lenheiros neighborhood.

Litttle but Great Major Citizens

In 2007 Lucas and Vitor Pagano stood out as a great example of solidarity and dedication towards those in need. Through clothing and toys drives, as well as fund raising initiatives for the school, they were able to bring big smiles, and happy moments to all children of RUMO.

Being compassionate, caring and socially responsible at such young age, are values Lucas and Vitor live by and respect.

Such innitiation and dedication, is what makes us believe and hope for a better future. No matter what differences may set our children apart, they are equal and all deserve the same.

On behalf of the Educations Institute Rubens Moraes, our sincere thanks.
