Sports Highlight:
The Judo Competition

On July 1st, the children of RUMO participated in their first Judo Competition organized by one of the school sponsors Club SESI, and their devoted Judo Instructor Edinho. This event had the participation of 250 inspiring athletes from various schools, gyms, and private clubs within the city of Piracicaba.

The participation of RUMO’s students was highlighted throughout the event, due to their committed efforts and determination towards the competition! This event was organized to motivate the children of RUMO, to interact with other students and challenge themselves mentally and physically during the competition.

Edinho, the instructor, is a volunteer member of RUMO. He dedicates his personal time to the kids of the school and believes that encouraging sports activities will have a positive impact on their lives well into the future.

RUMO currently has the following extracurricular activities for all children: Art, English, Reading, Music and of course Judo. Take the initiative and follow the steps of this dedicated instructor. Participate and volunteer at RUMO! For more information visit: www.br111foundation.org

Healthy Teeth For The Kids Of RUMO

With the support of RUMO’s psychologist Dr. Claudia Meneghetti, who on a daily basis plays a major role in the school by assisting all students with social, educational, and moral development, we are proud to announce and welcome our newest sponsors. “The Faculty of Odontology of Piracicaba!”

Their support will be vital for all the children’s dental care and motivation to keep a beautiful smile!

Traditional Brazilian June Celebration

Festa Junina, typically termed Sao Joao (Saint John) as it is celebrated on that saint’s day, is the name of a Brazilian annual celebration historically related to Saint John festivities in Europe.

On June 13th, the children of RUMO replaced a day in the classroom for a day of fun festivities! The entire event was brought together by employees and volunteers of the school, and also counted on the help of all children for the decorations.

Among the fun activities during this special day, the children of RUMO participated in a variety of games, and performed a dance routine explaining the story of Saint John’s celebration.

Mouth-watering cuisine was featured throughout the day. Delicious dishes included cuscuz, sweet rice and popcorn. At the end of the festivities, all children were off to their summer vacation with their families at home.
