On April 4th, the RUMO children were fascinated with the Easter Bunny’s visit.

Memorable Visit

The celebration of Easter this year included a series of events and important visits.

On April 3rd, 21 of our children participating in the “Friends From My Childhood Project,” an enrichment program for our 6–7 year olds, were welcomed by a private school in the neighborhood called Rátimbum. During their visit, they were given treats and gifts made by the students of the private school. Also, during the encounter between both groups, the children participated in group games and other activities.

On April 4th, the RUMO children were fascinated with the Easter Bunny’s visit. The illustrious visitor, presented the children with many Easter eggs of chocolate in pretty baskets. To receive the chocolates, the children had to follow tracks left by Mr. Rabbit.

The celebration of Easter at Rumo, was made possible thanks to the contribution and support of the company COAN Alimentos and Bio Lazer, from the Ratibum School, and volunteer member Juliana Pereira Nery, who is the expert behind all the home made chocolates. With partners like these, we can help bring joy and more than just hope to the live’s of our children.

My Heart Has a Destiny

The launching of the campaign “I am without uniform, but my heart has a destiny” will occur on April 27th.

This project is a partnership between the Educational Institute Rubens Moraes—RUMO and various private schools of Piracicaba that will allow the children to not wear their school uniform on the last Friday of every month. Participants will pay a “fine” of R$ 1,00 (a Real) and all proceeds will benefit RUMO.

“All donations that are received are of extreme importance. However, it is very valuable and important as well, to show our society that the union of forces and the adhesion to the social responsibility can change the sad reality, and the future of our country,” says Viviane Romano, president of the Institute.

Bingo with a Traditional Brazilian Chicken Soup Cuisine

The traditional Bingo celebration organized by RUMO will take place on May 4th. However, the exciting addition to this event is a Brazilian Traditional Cuisine of “galinhada” (chicken soup), that will be added to the agenda.

For those partners of ours residing in the USA or anywhere outside of Brazil, your support is also welcomed! Because of the distance, you may also support this event by donating at the BR-111foundation.org website.

It is important for us to emphasize that all donations contributed to this event, will be given towards Rumo’s expenses, which is maintained and supported monthly by the BR-111 Foundation, currently supporting 85 registered children.

Your support is always greatly appreciated and we continue to count on your participation!
