PELE presents autographed World Cup jersey to Rumo

The king of soccer welcomes RUMO and BR-111™ Foundation!

This past June world known king of soccer PELE, gave a warm welcome to the representatives of the Educational Institute Ruben Moraes, and Director of BR-111™ Foundation, Marcia Romano. Pele was amazed by the school’s efforts, and its accomplishments throughout the years. He was touched by BR-111™ Foundation’s initiative and commitment to the children of Piracicaba. In recognition of the school’s hard work and the BR-111™ foundation’s efforts, Pele autographed two official world cup T-shirts. One for Rumo that said “My heart has a destiny” which is RUMO’s slogan, and one for the Foundation, for helping make a difference in the children’s life. By the end of the meeting, Pele’s office entire staff was moved by what they learned about Rumo’s objectives and accomplishments. They are honored to work with organizations such as RUMO and BR-111™ foundation, and claim to have higher hopes for a better future, for the kids of Brazil due to this type of work.

Healthy Eating for the kids of RUMO!

On June 22, CAON the company who provides all meals to the children of Rumo took all students to a theatre field trip to see “Marianinha”. It is a story about a little girl who never liked to eat healthy, but one day was convinced by her friends to eat smart and have healthy eating habits. Throughout the play, Marianinha learns that eating healthy can only contribute to a longer life and healthier future. All children of RUMO are part of the Nutrition Project to promote healthy eating. They have learned about all benefits of eating healthy and maintaining good health by doing so. This project was only possible with the support of our sponsor Unimed, a health medical center and one of RUMO’s vital contributors.

The success of the Feijoada Brazilian Cuisine!

On June 17th, the feijoada dinner gathered approximately 300 guests at the Educational Institute Rubens Moraes – RUMO. To make this event possible and such a success, volunteers, employees, parents and sponsors were of great help! For all of you who participated, thank you! This has been another great event to raise funds for the children of rumo. All donations were directed to the school.

Keeping those cold days warm!

Rumo is not only contributing for a better future of its children, but also making sure they can maintain a comfortable and warm living during the winter season. On June 26th, the school put together a winter sale of clothing with affordable prices, and great deals! Rumo also assisted the children’s family by donating warm clothing for those in need. The proceeds from the clothing sale went to the school, and the majority of the clothing bought, ended up being donated to the children’s family. Once again, we thank you for your support, and for fighting with us for this great cause!
